Our Consultative Approach

With your vision and our know-how, we’ll build your perfect cart. Improve your picking efficiency with the right cart configuration and materials for your job. Our design process has four simple steps: assessment, drawings, prototype, and production.

Your innovative design starts with a vision

Equip your team for success with carts designed for your product, your terrain and your needs. Your dedicated sales representative will gather information with questions like:

  • What is the purpose of the carts? You might be looking for carts for e-commerce picking. You might need carts for restocking your shelves. Each use has a different configuration.
  • What terrain will your carts navigate? You need robust wheels and bearings suitable for your facility
  • What product will you be moving? A cart for stocking bulk paper towels is very different from one for stocking sodas and candies.
  • How many carts do you need? If you need 25 stocking carts or 50 picking carts, we have superior off-the-shelf solutions. If you need 200 carts, it makes sense to customize your design to maximize your return on investment.

We'll assess your needs through discussions or virtual site visits. An in-person visit may also pinpoint opportunities to enhance material handling efficiency. Your product needs and budget goals are our guideposts.

Get carts tailor-made for your operation

If your carts aren’t the right size and shape for your product, they waste space and cause your team to make extra trips. If your carts don’t suit your facility’s environment, they won’t last. With Cannon’s consultative one-on-one approach, you can ensure all your carts are the right size for your product, the right materials for your terrain, and the right design for your job. Upgrade your pick efficiency and reduce your costs with a purpose-built cart.

See your vision in a 3D CAD model

You will receive a preliminary drawing and cost estimate for review within one to two weeks. Approve the preliminary concept, and we'll develop a 3D CAD model with updated pricing. Next, we’ll schedule a virtual review meeting. With the 3D model, we can answer your questions, like “How many stocked carts can fit on our truck?” and “What’s the spacing between the shelves?”

Get your prototype before mass production

You don't need to rely only on drawings and 3D models. Depending on your needs, we will send you a prototype to review and test. Sign a purchase authorization, and we’ll schedule your prototype cart for production. For mass production, the production timeline is impacted by the design, but a general estimate is between seven to fourteen weeks. Your dedicated sales representative will provide you with a production timeline upon completion of design work. Contract freight carriers will handle delivery.

Our products come with a one-year material and quality warranty. With many carts still in use after 25 years, you know you’ll get durable, long-lasting custom carts.
